Providing technical support to 100+ on-site users, 200+ external sites and remote users and 2nd/3rd Line Support to the Helpdesk. I also shadow my manager and help assist with his project work as well as cover out of hours and weekend support to the Helpdesk. Supporting all software & hardware issues for on-site users and external users. Support for all Laptop users using remote control access management tools. Desktop and Laptop software and hardware installation and image builds. Server maintenance including mailbox, AD, Group Policy and File Server management. Implementation and changes to Group Policy over 2 separate domains. Active Directory support & management. VMWare, Exchange, NAS & SQL management. Networking of various devices including Cisco/Mitel IP phones, switches & routers. Wi-Fi configuration and monitoring. Forcepoint Triton Management software monitoring and maintenance. Full network printer server administration and zone configuration within AD. Polycom Trio Visual+ Video Conferencing Support. Setup and support of all types of Windows, iPhone and Android mobile phones. Taking charge of and running IT projects to SLA’s. Visual Basic, Script and Bat file creation for automation of tasks. Creating & maintaining all procedure documentation. Learning and Development and ongoing training for the external Helpdesk

As a senior Operator it was my responsibility to oversee that the banks VAX/VMS systems were running to SLA’s. Also included was hardware and software support for all the banks staff based at two separate sites within London. I was also involved in hardware and software support for the main dealer systems.

I started my IT career at Citymax in 1989 as a Computer Operator using VAX/VMS systems and DOS PC’s and applications. After a few years I was transferred to Credit Suisse London and furthered my career within the banking environment. From here I gained much experience in Visual Basic programming and the use and minor programming of UNIX systems. Also it was my starting point for Microsoft NT Servers and desktop application software.
