• Assisted in the development and testing a Voltage Reference Validator (VRV), designed to validate the relative accuracy of active voltage references in commercial use in parts per million (ppm) • Designed a Python-based measurement procedure integrated with a multi-threaded GUI that collects frequency data over long periods of time (2+ years) for analysis of relative accuracy and drift of voltage references • Designing PCB’s on an updated “Planar Absolute Radiometer at Room Temperature” (PARRoT) device, focusing on revisions and optimization to improve thermal and electrical performance • Conducting failure analysis on VRV and PARRoT prototypes and assembling electrical harnesses using bench test equipment, schematic reading, and soldering skills • Fabricating a calorimeter for use in NIST laser calibration services; involves creating thermopiles, creating mounting solutions for thermal nets, and assembling mirrors in calorimeter cavity • Assisting in the optimization of a trans-impedance amplifier used in the measurement of optical losses in fiber-optic splices

• Led the avionics sub-team for the liquid rocket “Boomslang”, which is set to launch by the end of 2023 as a part of the Dollar Per Foot (DPF) challenge• Calibrated and customized pressure transducers and load cells for precise measurements of nitrous oxide supply and total thrust; performing tests in LabView, making modifications through custom electronics boards• Created new documentation for the current fill cart DAQ electrical system into KiCAD

• Collaborated with LASP and several universities to develop a network of CubeSat’s that analyze the effects of Equatorial Thermosphere Anomalies (ETA’s) and Equatorial Ionization Anomalies (EIA’s)• Developed MATLAB script that converts and sorts data being taken in by Langmuir Probe as it operates within the atmosphere. Script creates multiple channel files that outlines important data for the probe in real time• Conducting tests using ionization chambers to test abilities of probe. In tandem, assembled electronics and assisted in mechanical assembly outlines for final product.

• Analyzed nano-systems, such as lattice structures, and developed and simulated their effectiveness in Keysight PicoView for thermal and electrical transport across materials such as graphene via analysis of band structures• Assisted Graduate students with failure analysis on secondhand Atomic Force Microscopes (AFM’s) for use in lab, saving the lab roughly $30-50k in the cost for a new AFM• Constructed an isolation chamber from scratch to visually, sonically, and electrically isolate an AFM from external noise to allow for accurate readings, saving the lab roughly $2-3k on a pre-built cabinet• Developed LabView program to control AFM using two-dimensional sample size input. Allows for complete autonomous testing of sample.
