I am an Associate in the Early and High Growth Oversight department at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), where I’m part of a team that regulate and supervise financial firms that are experiencing exponential growth and in their early tenure. These include a diverse portfolio such as mortgage intermediaries, credit brokers, investment, wealth management and crypto firms amongst others. I apply my legal know-how, financial knowledge and skills to assess possible risks, harms and opportunities of these businesses, and to ensure that they comply with the relevant rules and standards.I graduated from the University of Surrey with a Bachelor of Laws degree, where I developed a strong interest in financial regulation, consumer protection, and corporate governance. I have also gained valuable experience in the legal sector, working as a Legal Advisor at the Waterloo Legal Advice Service, where I provided pro bono advice and assistance to clients on various legal issues such as housing and employment. As a Disclosure Paralegal in the Enforcement and Market Oversight division at the FCA, I supported the investigation and prosecution of market abuse and manipulation cases.
