Hello, I'm Alan, a highly driven, dedicated individual interested in research with a proven record of the same. I'm equipped with knowledge of Excel, R, Tableau, Canva as well as relevant internship and project experiences that helped me put these skills to practice. As a student of economics, my undergraduate degree at the Symbiosis School of Economics has helped me acquire critical thinking skills, professional rigor and an ability to meet tight deadlines. I've gained a year of work experience as a Research Associate in the MIDAS, Bizvibe and Technavio divisions at Infiniti Research. During my time associated with Infiniti Research I worked on three client centric projects for major Fortune 500 companies that involved extensive analysis into the African oil and gas market, Canadian Courier, Express and Parcel market and the global in vivo pharmacology services market. I also learnt various skills related with MR such as market sizing, SWOT, PESTEL, Porters 5 forces, supplier identification and primary and secondary research methodologies. I've also had several internships and projects under my belt that involved research - both primary and secondary, technical documentation, data analysis such as my internship with the Confederation of Indian Industry, an international economics-related dissertation and a primary research into SHG's and women empowerment. Additionally I presented two research papers at the 2023 History of Economic Thought Conference 2023 organised by Azim Premji University and the 2024 Indian Reception to Sraffa workshop organised by University of Hyderabad. Outside of my academic and professional experiences, I am passionate about several other extracurricular activities including but not limited to long-distance running, debating, reading and even penning stories during my free time. I'm an avid distance runner since 2016 and was part of both my school and college athletic teams. Even today, I continue my athletic journey with my most recent race being the half marathon at the Bengaluru 2024 marathon. As a member of my college debate society I participated in various tournaments in the Indian debating circuit. I've contributed stories and articles to my college and school magazines and published a story as part of an anthology under my college literary society.Besides these, I'm constantly pursuing opportunities for professional development, gaining work experience as well as connection and interactions with professionals in related fields to learn from their experiences and feedback.
