More than twenty-four years of experience in conducting risk management/loss control surveys and preparing detailed reports on all types of properties including: • Highly protected or sprinklered risks• Large complex property/casualty risks including general liability, products liability, contractor’s liability and course of construction. • Mercantile risks from a fire, liability and crime standpoint • Specialized surveys including municipalities, schools, motor vehicle fleets, contractor’s equipment surveys, oil service companies, inland grain terminals, ethanol plants, major universities, saw mills, metal and plastics manufacturing locations, wood manufacturing locations, hobby and specialty farms, etc. • Involved in the training and development of various industrial, commercial and government related organizations in the training, inspection and testing of Fire Sprinkler Systems, Fire Pumps, Standpipes and other related equipment.• As a Loss Prevention Engineer for Lumberman’s Underwriting Alliance from 1987 to 1993 I provided the following services:• Evaluate property hazards, (arson exposure, construction, protection, etc.). Evaluate process hazards, (hydraulic, air compressors, dry kilns, sawmill operations, planer mill operations, etc.) and provide recommendations to minimize exposure to these hazards.• Evaluate property for personnel related hazards, aid in implementation of safety programs, self-inspection programs, job safety analysis, etc.• Determined if potential insured meets or is willing to meet standards of the General Forest (Sawmill) industry.

Evaluate process hazards, (hydraulic, air compressors, dry kilns, sawmill operations, planermill operations, etc.) and provide recommendations to minimize exposure to these hazards.• Evaluate property for personnel related hazards, aid in implementation of safety programs, self-inspection programs, job safety analysis, etc.• Determined if potential insured meets or is willing to meet standards of the General Forest (Sawmill) industry.• Sprinkler Systems – Full Evaluation including, ongoing inspection, testing, maintenance, plan approval, design approval, full evaluation to NFPA and related government standards. • Water Supply Analysis – Full evaluation, testing of onsite fire fighting Water Supplies, including hydrant flow testing, fire pump testing, hydraulic calculation, full consulting, testing & maintenance as required.• Logging Operations – On site inspection performed to provide information to owners and operators on how to prevent or minimize potential losses.• Institute onsite loss prevention programs, including overall vehicle maintenance, documented inspection programs, daily, weekly, monthly checks, etc. • Develop & Institute loss prevention programs for all means of Mobile Equipment, including but not limited to Loaders, Delimbers, Tree Harvesters, Feller Bunchers, Skidders, Logging Trucks, etc.
