Cerium Networks, Philippines Oct 2015-PresentGeneral manager• Managed and grew a team consisting of technical support agents, support engineers, design engineers, developers, sales, and HR.• Analyze work in USA and determine deficits in staffing for out of hours work. Build job description and find Philippine personnel to fill position.• Participate in Provincial university and college IP events to help identify and develop talent.• Developed and participate in OJT programs from provincial University. We have had 4 OJT in the past 2 years and permanently placed 3 within our ranks. • Develop talent by providing career paths and certifications for staff, including fresh graduates. • Customer and vendor meetings, as needed for business development.• Manage 1.5M monthly budget, payroll, and business expenses. • Work with USA based to determine and obtain budget, work, benefits, and staffing levels. • Edit and offer guidance to team regarding communications with US related to English proficiency. Provide “English Wednesdays” for team skills development. • Design new office, manage budget for 2.1M fit-out project. Ensure new office meets design and is completed within budget.
