Having recently completed a Masters Degree in History as a mature student, and whilst working full time, I am seeking an exciting new challenge, one which will provide me with stimulation, satisfaction and prospects for further growth in my chosen field. My studies have provided me with good research and analytical skills, and it is these which I wish to utilise in my future career. The discipline I studied has given me a sound understanding of historical events and political and economic structures, and from this, I have derived a greater understanding of current events and how they synergise with the past. My academic presentation has benefited considerably from the studies I have undertaken, and would transfer easily and successfully to the commercial sector. I am an ambitious, hard working, conscientious and organised individual, as is ably demonstrated by my having studied for both my Bachelor and Masters degrees whilst holding down full time employment and juggling family commitments. During this time I was called upon to prioritise my time and handle deadlines with efficiency. I have many years of participation in team sports, which taught me a team ethic, and also gave me experience of team leadership, whereby I learned methods for extracting enhanced performance from those under my captaincy. I am open and enthusiastic about any employment option which would provide me with the challenges I seek. I am flexible and accommodating, and would entertain any mode of working, including a commute, home working, and travel within the post.
