I am an experienced professional with over 30 years' employment in financial services. Over ten years as a financial planning manager, within Technical Services, in the Isle of Man, Dubai and Singapore providing advice on policyholder taxation, the use of trusts in financial planning, and overseas pensions.Member of various project teams developing new products requiring regulatory approval in Taiwan, Spain, Middle East and Asia.Creation of technical guides and marketing material for client and adviser education.Working with external partners including tax accountants, lawyers and trustees, including those in the UK, CI, Australia, India, Spain, and Taiwan, to develop products and materials.Working as a financial adviser meaning I have knowledge and understanding of both sales and technical positions within financial services.Excellent presentation skills used to good effect at client and adviser seminars, and for external and internal employee training and development.I consider myself to be a good communicator and relationship manager who is willing to listen and learn whilst having an ability to adapt to different circumstances. I am happy in a team but am also self-sufficient and used to working remotely when the situation requires. By way of example, in both Dubai and Singapore I worked as the sole member of Technical Services with line management based in the Isle of Man.I have the STEP diploma in International Trust Administration and the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning which now that I'm back in the UK, I'm bringing up to date to the Regulated Diploma.
