His leadership has raised the bar to enable all team members to grow personally and professionally, as well as enjoy an inclusive work environment. HPE has seen record-breaking, year-over-year employee engagement results, with 2020 engagement scores over eight percent. At the same time, HPE has increased diversity representation, reduced attrition and improved leadership effectiveness scores. He’s often featured in industry and business publications like Human Resource Director, Human Resource Executive, Fortune, and the Silicon Valley Business Journal.Before joining HPE, Alan worked at The Boeing Company for eight years. He led HR for Boeing’s Commercial Airplanes division; was head of HR for the Defense, Space & Security business; and served as Vice President of Strategy, Compensation and Benefits.He’s also held leadership positions at Cerberus Capital Management PepsiCo, TRW and Caterpillar.Alan serves on Board of Trustees for the American Foundation for the Blind and the San Francisco Symphony. A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Alan earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in industrial and labor relations.
