Directs Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) mechanic’s in performing organizational level maintenance activities to include flightline tasks as aircraft servicing, fault diagnosis and component replacements associated with day-to-day operations of the C-17 aircraft and verify repairs for aircraft flight worthiness. Serve as a certified Maintenance Instructor where I train personnel in performing tasks associated with the safe handling of a C-17 aircraft and I mentored mechanics on their progress. Highly involved in maintenance back shop activities, evaluating components parts condition for acceptable quality standards. Accomplish structural/composite repairs, and complete wheel/tire shop activities supporting the flight line and Home Station Check.

Performed Depot level maintenance activities on the C-17 Aircraft and engine change support equipment to include major structural, mechanical, electrical, engine changes and performed flightline tasks as aircraft servicing, fault diagnosis and component replacements. Cross utilized in the engine test facility, performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on engine performance test equipment and facilities. Performed maintenance and inspection on the F-117 engine lift, transportation trailers, and completed engine preservations, transition of engines for aircraft transfers and receipt to and from off-site locations.

Charleston, South Carolina Area

Managed a 7-day, 24-hour maintenance operation activities and supervised the production efforts of 90 technicians, including unionized civilians, and air reserve technicians supporting over 50 assigned C-17 aircraft. Managed the budget and ensured material requirements, inventories, tools and parts availability for the completion of normal and multiple depot, organizational and intermediate maintenance modifications; developed and implemented long range plans and objectives for future growth and improvements.

Incirlik Air Base, Turkey

Managed a 7-day, 24-hour maintenance operation and supervised the production efforts of 85 technicians, supporting a multinational combat flying units with over 45 assigned aircraft in direct support of Operation Northern Watch and Provide Comfort. Evaluated and ensured assigned departments are effectively budgeted, manned, and have the essential tools, test equipment, and critical supplies to maintain high quality production levels.

Managed a 7-day, 24-hour maintenance operation and supervised the production efforts of 63 personnel in subordinate back shops, supporting 10 C-5, 8 C-17, 12 C-141, and 24 KC-135 aircraft. Analyzed maintenance indicators relative to production rates, equipment downtime, supply status, and production backlogs; planned, developed and implemented corrective measures using quality improvement and deficiency report processes.
