• Wrote a series of new labor-saving VBScripts, and updated or re-wrote existing VBScripts; these scripts would automatically enter data into, and screen-scrape data from the bank’s mortgage solution via browser-based 3270 terminal, using vendor-supplied COM object; usually performing bulk updates by programmatically reading and writing Excel spreadsheets• Replaced aging browser-based repository for the above scripts with a custom Windows Forms GUI written in VB.NET; this GUI intelligently prevented users from running scripts when they had two simultaneous 3270 sessions, avoiding costly inadvertent script runs against the wrong session; used P/Invoke Windows API, .NET framework and COM calls to sense multiple instances of window classes, download the list of scripts from a custom ASP.NET page, launch the scripts, and interact with the 3270 sessions; created Visio diagrams of the before and after solutions• Re-wrote the scheduled jobs, Access queries, and ASP.NET pages that gathered script usage metrics for the above to correct bugs in IIS log parsing code• Created Access database to house screen/field audit data for above scripts, allowing quick queries to see which scripts affected which fields
