I am an accomplished commercial finance leader with a strong track record of success within the retail sector. Having started out in the energy industry, I secured a role with Arcadia Group in 2004 and from there enjoyed a variety of roles across brands like Dorothy Perkins, Burton and Miss Selfridge whilst regularly achieving promotion. Between 2012 and 2013, I worked as Senior Finance Manager for Arcadia Group Finance. Highlights included masterminding the 3-year strategy for the Group and playing a pivotal role in the reporting change driven out of the sale of a 25% stake in Topshop/Topman. Subsequently I was offered the role of Senior Finance Manager of Dorothy Perkins & Burton. I delivered the 2014/15 plan for Dorothy Perkins and the 3-year/5-year retail strategies for both brands. Other notable achievements included driving the expansion of concession store presence and generating strong cost savings. In 2014, I was thrilled to be handpicked for the role of Head of Commercial Finance at Office Holdings. This was a newly created role reporting into the CFO with the central goal of reinvigorating the finance function whilst providing strategic guidance and insight through the planning, reporting and analysis of business performance. Early focus was on centralising commercial processes, improving reporting and strengthening the internal stakeholder network paralleled with supporting the sale of the business. Latterly, accountability has been held for improving productivity and driving strategic change.I take real pride in delivering long-term commercial value by expertly supporting trading performance, margin delivery, profitability and business growth. Identifying and maximising opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies is a major personal strength. My leadership style is engaging, influential and highly credible. I am willing to challenge constructively in the interests of business results and I readily welcome change, challenges and complexity.
