From a young age, I have been drawn to computers. When I first got my fingers on a keyboard, like many of others, I learned what the internet was and its abilities. My focus was a different way to interact than most, I wanted to learn how my computer talked to a computer miles away. I took this lust for knowledge and attempted to build my own internet. The first server I created was an Instant Relay Chat so I could talk to my friends. As I played with my newly created server, I noticed I could see the traffic to and from a completely different device. I learned that servers needed to be secure.A few years later my network grew to web servers, basic game servers, and a few more things. I would spend most of my time watching packets and trying to change them. I found success in manipulating packets that would affect my home network and device. When I knew I could that means others will. From this day I launched a 10-year yearning to better protect my computers, servers, and devices while not inhibiting their use. My lust for security had me learn public key instructions, on the fly encryption from AES to elliptic curve, port security to ssh port forwarding. This will not end as new technology is introduced, computing gets smarter, keys get weaker, I will continue to learn to stay on top. I am now CompTIA Network Plus, Security Plus, Pentest plus and A plus certified with more to come.
