Visualase: MRI-Guided Laser Ablation System for ablation of brain, liver, and prostate tumors• Successfully orchestrated a team of software engineers through the design and development of the Visualase system software including user interface, services architecture, API definition, hardware interface software, application scaling features, and building of software test automation tools to product release into the market.• Delivered C++ and Python microservices used to store data in SQL and NoSQL databases, render therapy images for on screen display, image processing algorithms, control laser and saline pump hardware, and communicate with and controls GE, Siemens, and Philips MRI scanners.• Created native user interfaces for the system software and tools in Qt, Tk and web user interfaces in React/Flux.• Investigated and developed system software installation, support, diagnosis, and test automation tools.• Analyzed and applied security enhancements to the Linux OS used by the system to meet corporate security compliance.

Galaxy Tools: Optical simulation tools• Developed NVIDIA GPU based ray tracing software in C++, C, and CUDA, and OptiX used for real-time ray tracing which significantly outperformed legacy CPU ray tracing features.• Delivered material shading algorithms including Maxwell Beard, Phong, and Sandford Robertson in C / CUDA to run on a GPU.• Modified C++ / Qt product user interfaces to render interactive colored three-dimensional polar plots using OpenSceneGraph on Windows and Linux.

Scout DS: Non-invasive diabetes screening medical device• Attained delivery of a CE mark approved medical device for shipment around the world to be used for diagnosis of patients and clinical studies while exceeding plan dates.• Coordinated a team of software and test engineers through architecture, user interface design, development, and testing of embedded software for multiple versions of the SCOUT DS® diabetes screening medical instrument.• Created instrument control software on Linux using C++ which provided hardware initialization, self-calibration, spectrograph sequencing, image analysis, and scheduled event triggers.• Implemented linear algebra and image processing algorithms used to detect image and spectral outliers, filter images, and apply diabetes prediction models spectral images on Linux using C++.• Built automated manufacturing tools written, in C++ and Matlab, used to initialize, calibrate, test, and diagnose SCOUT DS® instruments.
