Hello, I am Alan Orozco, 4th year studying mechanical engineering at UC Merced, I spent most of my childhood in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, and later moved to San Diego where I spent my teenage years. I chose mechanical engineering because I fell in love with the idea of implementation and design. I come from a place where success is a dream that many aspire of, but majority fail to accomplish even if they are working as hard as others. I work for all of these people from my community that have given so much for me to have this opportunity of studying in America and give aspiring people who think they have odds stacked against them for a successful career hope.
