I am responsible for eight depots, 150 vehicles and drivers. Each depot has a Depot Manager, and they report directly to me with regards to drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations.I liaise with the DVSA and other governing bodies in relation to Road Transport Operations.I audit my depots twice per year, using a weighted evidence based testing approach taken from the best practice document produced by the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Head of Recruitment - My office was registered in Coventry. I contracted twelve HGV1 drivers who worked for me in 'blue chip' companies within the Warwickshire area. I completed all my own Sales calls and I interviewed and enrolled all Drivers. I specialised in HGV1 recruitment paying the drivers through an 'umbrella' company. I employed drivers working at numerous sites, including Royal Mail, Marks and Spencer's, Eddie Stobart, Calor Gas and Sainsbury’s.

Midlands

I was initially the General Manager at the Coventry site and then I was promoted to General Manager at the Cannock Depot. This was the largest site within Nightfreight with 80 staff and a Sales Plan of £6million pounds per year. I had full Profit and Loss responsibility.
