I am a self-taught digital media artist working primarily in 3D animation and film, with a BA (Hons) in Film + Television, from the Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Dublin, Ireland, with a major in sound design. I am based between Kilkenny and Dublin, Ireland.As a teenager, I was a member of the Young Irish Film Makers, making comedy skits and shorts before moving on to volunteer for the after schools programme during my gap year after my Leaving Cert before working there as a facilitator for young people during the summer camps. During this time I taught myself 3D animation through trial and error, a lot of YouTube tutorials, Google searches and books.I like experimenting with colour and fashion, finding ways they can be used to express one’s style, character or emotion in a scene and creating garments for animated characters to wear that flow and move believably while also showing who the character is themselves by what they wear.My short film Detective Buckers won Best Animated Short Film at the 12th Underground Cinema Film Awards in Dublin, Ireland, and was a finalist at the Paris International Film Awards, a semi-finalist at the New York Animation Film Awards, and an official selection for multiple international film festivals, including the Las Cruces International Film Festival, Animae, the Caribe International Animation & Digital Media Festival in Trinidad and Tobago, the Luna Lumen Film Festival in Columbus, Ohio, and the Sanctuary International Film Festival in Sanctuary Cove, Australia.My animated fashion film Allure Fashion Film won Best Animated Fashion Film at Vesuvius International Film Fest in Campania, Italy, and was exhibited at the Vinque Fashion Event in Dublin, Ireland.I have exhibited my work at the Kilkenny Alternative Arts Festival and the Vinque Fashion Event in Dublin, Ireland.I have completed various courses, including Unconscious Bias Training and Developing an EDI Policy with Screen Ireland, Bungrang 1 Téarma an Earraigh with Conradh na Gaeilge, and Leadership with Common Purpose. I am currently enrolled in Screen Ireland's Creative Leadership Programme for Animation, VFX & Games.I have volunteered as an Assistant Facilitator for the Young Irish Film Makers in Kilkenny, Ireland and as a HIV Rapid Testing Volunteer for MPower in Dublin, Ireland.My filmography includes Deep Meaning aka: Neglect, Self-Hate & Shame (2017), The Crack in The Wall (2020), Radioactively Yours: A Tourist in Chernobyl (2020), Detective Buckers (2020), Allure Fashion Film (2022), and Crann na Beatha (2023).
