After a decade spent developing and coordinating applied research and public outreach programs to preserve and enhance natural resources in coastal Georgia, I returned to school to obtain my DVM and have spent the past 5 years practicing small animal medicine in Washington DC. I particularly enjoy the hands-on service based nature of the job, the personal relationships fostered with clients and the opportunities for life learning and new skills that veterinary medicine presents.
