I was the Asset Manager for five of Connect Roads’ DBFO project across the UK for national and local government clients. In this role I used my technical and analytical skills to produce annual updates of the whole life costing for each project to drive the most efficient lifecycle maintenance of our assets. This gave the best outcome for the SPV shareholders whilst ensuring contract compliance and safe, well-maintained asset for clients and road users. I was able to utilise my strong technical knowledge to support our concession managers and provide a focal point for liaising with technical advisors, designers and ECI contractors when delivering our larger lifecycle replacement works.I was integral to the Handback process as our projects entered the last five years of their contract duration. I used my strong interpersonal skills to liaise with the client and build their confidence in our approach to the Handback process, and my technical knowledge and writing skills to develop our approach to delivering the required information for Handback. The Handback process required a lot of information from a diverse range of sources which allowed me to use my IT knowledge and skills to manage and analyse the information in both standard and specialist software packages. I was an early adopter and champion of SharePoint and Microsoft O365 in our team as I saw the benefits of efficiently sharing information across a geographically diverse team and with multiple external parties. In my time in this role, I was recognised for valuing everyone and constantly encouraging colleagues so we could deliver a complex, and novel, process to strict contractual timeframes. During 2023 I was completed the BBI Development Programme which enhanced my skills in emotional intelligence, communication, and authentic and collaborative leadership. These were skills which greatly enhanced my effectiveness, which I was able to implement to aid the success of the Handback process.

Operations Manager for Connect Roads on the M77 / Glasgow Southern Orbital and Carlisle Northern Development Route contracts.My role as Operations Manager on both of these project involves liaising with the client, managing the Managing Agent Contractor (MAC) contract, reporting internally through the Connect management structure and the SPV board for each concession.My responsibilities included:• Day-to-day management of the DBFO / PFI contract and liaison with the client• Management of the payment mechanism on the CNDR contract, which is innovative and complex and includes many Key Performance Indicators• Management of the MAC contractor through monthly reports, progress meetings and approving the monthly valuations• Supporting the management of MAC contractor in delivering their contract• Managing the Change Notice protocol• Liaising with the Concession Company Accountants and attending finance meetings• Compiling monthly Management Reports for Connect management and SPV boards• Compiling board papers ahead of each SPV board meeting• Compiling quarterly /semi-annual reports for Lenders and their Technical Advisors• Liaising with the Asset Manager to develop the Whole Life Plan and subsequent management of delivery of the annual major maintenance • Representing Connect Roads at meetings and fora organised by clients and wider industry partners• Insurance lead for Connect on all 11 roads and street lighting concessions. Liaising with brokers, running insurance tenders and ensuring all insurance deliverables are met• Maintaining and updating risk and opportunity registers for each concession• Liaising with third parties such as developers over proposed developments which may affect the project network• Liaising with Management Systems Manager over quality, health and safety and environmental accreditations

I joined M50CL at an early stage of the PPP Contract and played a key role in developing the capabilities of the Operations & Maintenance department. This included contributing to the Quality system by writing many of the operating procedures and method statements, developing the selected RMMS programme to meet Contract requirements and providing capability to allow the commencement of traffic management operations. My role encompassed the technical aspects of the O&M requirements such as pavement including and structures inspection, along with managerial functions such as managing the 24 hour control room. Responsibilities include:• Management of activities and processes to ensure the compliance with O&M requirements.• Management of all Safety & Detailed Inspections (including management of RMMS) to ensure compliance with Contract requirements, including identifying and selecting specialist sub-contractors where required.• Instructing and programming all routine repairs, cyclic maintenance and scheme works.• Management of small improvement schemes (<€200k) instructed by Client.• Assessment and management of all structures in accordance with EIRSPAN Bridge Management Manual. • Management of pavement testing, including analysis and remediation in accordance with the Contract.• Production of reports on a weekly, monthly and annual basis, for both internal and external consumption.• Control Room Manager, managing 24 hour control room who provide constant cover to deal with all emergencies on the M50 and co-ordinate the activities of the ISU and breakdown service • Winter Maintenance Manager, this includes management of all winter maintenance activities from production of annual strategy to decision making.• Duty Engineer for emergency response • Liaising with Authority’s Representative and Emergency Services• Liaising with any 3rd Party wishing to access the M50, from statutory undertakers to contractors working on other NRA contracts

Responsible for the day-to-day running of the O&M activities on the A419/417 Swindon to Gloucester DBFO project, managing a team of two highway inspectors and the Term Maintenance Contractor. During my time working on this project I successfully implemented a new cyclic works procedure to reduce costs and improve safety for workforce, specified and implemented a new works ordering IT system and developed an Emergency Traffic Management procedure between the Term Maintenance Contractor and local police forces.My responsibilities included:• Planning, managing and undertaking Detailed & Safety Inspections in line with HA RMMS requirements.• Programming and implementation of routine and cyclic works.• Use and management of the Routine Maintenance Management System.• Winter Maintenance Decision Maker, including mentoring inexperienced staff • Responsibility for pavement inspections and surveys, including implementing maintenance schemes based on the results and working with the Pavement Engineer to devise a long-term pavement maintenance programme taking into account survey data and contractual handback requirements.• Oversight of structures inspection programme.• Management of Term Maintenance Contractor, including assessing and approving the monthly valuations.• Liaising closely with the client and other stakeholder such as the HA, police forces, adjacent highway authorities, the Department’s Representative, members of the public and bodies who represent them such as parish councils.• Duty Officer providing out-of-hours emergency contact for A419/417 & A1(M) projects and co-ordinating response to emergencies.• Producing annual budget for the Term Maintenance Contract and reporting on actual spend to client on a monthly basis.• Responsible for submitting information to the HA via their Confirm software such as Schedule of Roadworks and HA Pavement Management System.

• Producing designs and estimates for a driven steel piling company.• Supervising the installation of driven steel piles in both the land and marine environment.
