I’m a Junior Software Developer with 20-ish years of programming as a hobby under my belt. Having been out of the job market for a long time for health reasons, as well as needing to take care of my mother, I’ve spent my available time independently upskilling. Volunteering as a moderator on the official Stardew Valley Discord server in my spare time has helped build up a lot of skills orbiting around light management, handling disputes, and delivering clean and concise communication.I recently joined the Northcoders Software Development in Java bootcamp to develop my programming hobby into a profession. I’m a tinkerer at heart with an insatiable curiosity, which is what drew me to programming in the first place back at school when I discovered QBasic 4.5 on the library computers.
