Served as member of the board of directors for new company in cancer therapeutics

The INNF mission is to use science as an agent for social transformation. We facilitated international grand challenges in science and technology and in science educational opportunities in under served populations giving wider access and diversity to community engagements in science.

Lead premier research institution in the state of Colorado. Set strategic directions while overseeing the administration of $447M in broad discovery and innovation in climate, health, sustainability, energy, and in foundational research. Facilitate technology transfer of discoveries to scale. Engage broad stakeholders in corporate strategic partners, community engaged research and scholarship and training and mentoring of students preparing for the workforce of the future.

Director of Chemical and Biological Science and Technology. I led a portfolio of programs to protect the US from chemical and biological threats including those to human and animal health.

Served as Director of the Chemical and Biological Defense program for the Pentagon. Led the portfolio of science and technology programs to defend DoD personnel from threats from disease and chemical or biological attack by those adverse to the US.

Founded new company focused on preservation and safety of blood. Led all aspect of the Company as CEO (2003-6) and Chairman of the Board (2006-2010)

Founded new diagnostic company focused on Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases. Led all aspects of the business as Chief Executive Officer.

Initiated new programs in translating life sciences discoveries into Defense operations. Started programs in bioinspired robotics, brain machine and computer interfaces, and diagnostics and therapeutics to address enhanced Biodefense and security against disease.
