I am a lawyer qualified in England and New York, with 35 years of deal experience. I was Gibson Dunn’s first English law partner, joining their London office in 2000. I established and headed the firm’s European real estate private equity team from 2000-2024 and co-chaired the real estate group globally from 2007-2024. My sector experience is real estate M&A, finance, development and joint ventures. Across all asset classes. I represent financial investors (primarily US and European real estate opportunity funds) in pursuing their equity and debt investment strategies across Europe and am active in distressed acquisitions and financings, loan portfolio trading and debt restructurings/workouts. I have been named by PERE on their "100 Most Influential" list of industry professionals globally over the past decade and won the PERE award, Europe Transactions.I am ranked by Chambers UK 2024 as a leading lawyer in both Real Estate (big ticket) and Real Estate Finance. Legal 500 UK 2025 rank me in their ‘Hall of Fame’ for both Real Estate and Real Estate Finance (only lawyer in London recognised in both categories). Best Lawyers International 2025 for Real Estate, London Super Lawyers list 2024 and The Lawyer “Hot 100”. I currently also serve on the finance and estates committee at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
