Leader of a team of buyers responsible for the purchasing strategy and negotiation of chemical commodity items (tires, rubber parts, plastic parts, paint, oils, lubricants, adhesives, sealants, decals, glass, rearview mirrors, wheel-tire assembly) to supply the plants in Contagem, Sorocaba, Piracicaba, Curitiba and Córdoba in Argentina.Responsible for the commodity budget in the region, aligning strategies with the global team and teams in Europe, the United States, India and China.

Responsible for the portfolio of 165 local suppliers, who provide us with 96,000 different product codes per year for the metallic commodity serving the Fabrication & Weldments (Sheet Metal), Casging&Machining and Forging&Hardware clusters with an annual turnover of 900 Mio USD (manufactured items for first operations, welded, stamped, machined, cast, forged sets), being responsible for managing 22 direct subordinates, reporting to the global manager (Italy). Work on predictability and possible mitigation of cost variations based on market assumptions for the main cost drivers (steel, dollar, labor, among others). Development of new items to serve the Contagem plants (construction machines), Piracicaba, Sorocaba, Curitiba and Córdoba (Argentina), other plants for Agriculture machines. Manage the global strategy for the purchase of agricultural and construction wheels, maintaining synergy between the 4 regions (South America, Europe, North America and Asia).• Design and implementation of strategies with global suppliers in order to meet business targets.• Responsible for sourcing strategies and approval of suppliers´s nomination on new parts with relevante APV. • Direct management and control on purchasing category budget locally. • Sinergy creation across regions in order to maximize opportunities and mitigate risks.• Implementation of BCC opportunities in India and China in order to offer savings to the business.• Control and tracking on metallic raw materials around the globe in order to assure best price negotiations in all regions.

Responsible for the supplier portfolio of the metallic team in the Fabrication & Weldments cluster (Sheet Metal) with an annual revenue of 500 Mio USD (items manufactured by first operations and welded assemblies), being responsible for the management of 12 direct subordinates, reporting to the global manager (Italy). Work on predictability and possible mitigation of cost variations based on market assumptions for the main cost drivers (steel, dollar, labor, among others). Truck&Bus business: Management of the chassis, stamped, welded, cast and machined supplier portfolio in the Truck and Bus segment, being responsible for a portfolio of approximately 80 Mio USD, working together with the coordination with the activities inherent to Budget, mitigation of readjustment claims and development of new items for the plants in Sete Lagoas and Córdoba (Argentina).Construction & Agriculture business: Responsible for the supplier portfolio of the metallic team with an annual turnover of 250 Mio USD (items manufactured by first operations and soldiers), being responsible for managing 6 direct subordinates, reporting to the global manager (USA). Work on predictability and possible mitigation of cost variations based on market assumptions for the main cost drivers (steel, dollar, labor, among others). Development of new items to serve the Contagem plants (construction machines), Piracicaba, Sorocaba, Curitiba and Córdoba (Argentina), other plants for Agriculture machines.

Responsible for planning and controlling initiatives foreseen in the budget allocation for investments in tooling held by third parties, planning the financial expenditure as well as reporting to the purchasing department the need for duplication/renovation/new acquisition of tooling to support the expected demands.

Carrying out cost analysis of finished products and tools/devices needed to manufacture them. Activity to support buyers in new business negotiations as well as readjustment negotiations, bringing the discussion to a technical and non-commercial scope. Acting in the metallic commodity in the processes of: stamping, machining, welding, foundry, forging. Performing process analysis (best choice/losses), taking time to measure productivity, analysis of the gross weight x net weight ratio (scrap reduction), cost breakdown, Mark Up. Gains obtained around 15 Mio USD distributed in several projects, among them an activity carried out in suppliers in Argentina.
