• Responsible for Solo vehicle hardware (ME & EE)• Managed diverse engineering teams from project ideation through manufacturing and ramp to ship 3DR’s first consumer product. • Working closely with operations team, managed relationships with external engineering teams, contract manufacturers and suppliers both domestic and in Asia.• Traveled to overseas contract manufacturing facilities for all stages of manufacturing to ensure smooth NPI builds and solve issues on site.• Assisted with design engineering work.• Led small task groups to quickly identify and resolve issues during product sustaining cycle.

• Worked on the design, development, and testing of electro-mechanical assemblies for unmanned aerial vehicles. • Designed parts for plastic injection molding, CNC milling, laser cut, and water-jet manufacturing.• Utilized Solidworks FEA to develop and validate designs.• Responsible for the execution of key products that drove company growth.• Grew and led the mechanical engineering team.

Coastal Observing Research & Development Center• Worked on concept and mechanical design, fabrication, assembly, troubleshooting, deployment, and maintenance of a wide variety of oceanographic equipment.• Worked on the maintenance and deployment of REMUS autonomous underwater vehicles for ocean outfall plume surveying and mapping.• Assisted in the design, assembly and fleet management of expendable drifter wave buoys. Wave buoys were used to provide near real-time data on height, period, and direction of ocean waves.
