It nearly 7years since I joined the housing repairs team at Stevenage Borough Council and I have enjoyed the experience of working in a new team and with new colleagues.I have developed new skills and have managed to maintain and use my previous experience in this role. SBC is a long way culturally from BT and has its own issues but in my opinion is a good place to work. I am currently the strategic customer complaints manager for housing repairs.A summary of my BT career:-In my last role for BT , I was the customer service director for a well known UK bank . Prior to that I was the Global Service Director working from the customers premise offices in Switzerland. For that role, my responsibilities evolved from setting up the network service operations centre off shore to working in partnership with the customer in developing a integrated service model where the services where provided to the customer via a joint venture using multi suppliers that best fit the customers requirements and ethos. During my 37 years in BT, I started as a PBX installation engineer and moved up the managerial ladders until I reached the head of service grade. I have experience in; network operations at senior management having responsibilities for one of BT's key network operational centres, service director for a leading UK bank ; building off shore operational centres, have a good knowledge of quality management systems along with business improvement activities.
