I assumed lead responsibilities in 2008.Essential Duties* Diagnoses, troubleshoots and repairs customer and network troubles. Removes and replaces defective modules, tracks spares and ensures repair.* Coordinates large and small local and LD splice projects with OSP engineering and contractors.* Fiber locating and oversees splicing of Metro/Long Haul Outside Plant fibers. Monitors route and executes restoration in the event of a service interruption, proactively responds to potential problem areas to ensure integrity of network.* Responsible for asset management: process deliveries and replenishes consumables. Coordinates shipping and receiving of materials.* Operates and maintains tools, test sets, and electronic equipment including, but not limited to: fiber optic transmissions equipment, lightwave multiplexing equipment, circuit termination equipment, AC and DC power equipment, OTDR, fiber optic cable locating equipment, various BER type test equipment.* Performs preventive/scheduled maintenance and inspections on equipment and on the critical infrastructure including, but not limited to: HVAC systems, high-voltage electrical systems, DC Power Plants, backup generators.* Install and turn up customer premise equipment. Familiarity with logging into various customer equipment for configuration and troubleshooting.*Maintains new and existing circuits through troubleshooting and fault isolation techniques; utilizes local and remote test systems to isolate and resolve customer circuit outages. Coordinates the testing and turn up of service with all involved providers until the customer’s service is up and working.

Installed and repaired residential CATV service. Duties included but not limited to:Ladder work, connecting to the tap and installing aireal drops.Installing outlets, routing cables through crawl spaces, attics and walls.Connecting end user equipment to customer equipment.

Sawyer: Cutting, preparing, staging parts. Operating and maintaining the edgebander, computerized beam saw, table saw, chop saws, shapers, routers, nail guns, drills.My skills allowed me to take on many projects and tasks in addition to being the sawyer.
