Alan founded 10architect to drive a business with a strong moral and client focussed purpose – disrupting and re-connecting the relationship between client and architect.Previous to the 10architect, Alan has worked with the IBI Group (Taylor Young) for 20 years developing a reputation for high quality design and a passion for environmental sustainability. Alan was directly responsible for over £400million of Further and Higher Education projects. managing a series of highly complex projects, from initial masterplans and designs to final completion on site and this, coupled with his enthusiasm for driving the agenda of true partnering, has allowed Alan to build and manage a team capable of delivering the highest client aspirations.As part of his work with M4i (now Constructing Excellence) Alan has been involved with leading edge procurement strategies, concepts of project centred teams and partnering agreements. To support this open book philosophy of working, Alan designed a purpose built drawing exchange portal, to allow information sharing between members of the partnering team.Alan’s knowledge and expertise in the field of partnering has led him to present numerous discussions and lectures on the subject. In addition, Alan is involved with the Common Purpose Programme, developing links with other regeneration leaders.
