I led a medical affairs team with 6 direct reports covering HIV across the UK and Ireland.The HIV portfolio is large and there were multiple new indications and new drug launches.I worked closely with all aspects of the cross functional team. I became a signatory in 2013 and gained extensive experience. I also frequently worked closely with regional colleagues.

I worked as a Senior Medical Project Manager in HIV in my first industry role. I set out to rapidly develop the core skillsets of medical affairs and gain broad experiences within a highly ambitious team. My ambition was to rapidly become a people manager as I enjoyed this over a long period in the NHS.After just over a year I was appointed to lead the team and progressed to Associate Director.

I qualified as a physician in 1993 and underwent diverse medical training. I have worked in extensive medical specialities and gained my MRCP and subsequently FRCP. I then completed specialist training and gained specialist accreditation in 2003 in Genitourinary medicine.I worked in many of Londons largest HIV centres and also spent some. Time working in HIV in Botswana. My first consultant level work was at Barts and the London. I subsequently worked at St Mary's Hospital with extensive clinical, training and management responsibilities.
