An integral part of the operations department, my primary responsibilities included auditing and repairing the firm’s performance composites, calculating firm Assets under Management, creating and sending out client statements, coding new accounts for composite inclusion and creating after-tax performance results for the firm’s institutional accounts. My daily tasks included posting all client driven cash transactions to the accounts and sending them to our Trading department, solving all cash and position discrepancies, communicating with the client to solve reconciliation issues, and proactively communicating with the Trading department when large issues arise that could lead to costly trade errors.• Created an Excel spreadsheet that would align transaction data from both systems so that transaction reconciliation breaks could be quickly identified.• Consistently kept the accounts in balance and caused zero trade errors to occur.• Led a team of Temporary Contract Employees during a client manager change to accurately open 550 new accounts in one week.• Was awarded the President’s Award in 2005 for exceptional work as an Account Reconciliation Specialist.
