My name is Alan Stokes I am a professional surfer and waterman. I am one of Europe's best surfers and have competed all over the world. I have ranked 3rd and 2nd in Europe and have won 3 x British National Championships and 2 x Uk Pro Tour Titles. I won the inaugural Association Of Surfing Professionals Quiksilver Air Show in Ireland and the ASP Pantin Expression Session in Spain.These days I am a free surfer, waterman, hydrofoil downwind surfer, SUP adventurer, musician, blogger and social content creator. I still like to compete but my passion for adventure and new opportunities has has seen me work alongside brands such as Samsung Mobile, Corona, Vice Sports, KAYAK Travel, Marriott Hotels, Mercedes, Sunlight Motorhomes, Animal Free Sports, Voltarol, Guardian Labs, The Huffington Post, Enterprise Car Hire, Papua New Guinea Tourism, Hyatt Hotels, Garnier, Starboard SUP, GoFoil, Maxi Muscle, Jimmy's Iced Coffee and Echo Falls to name a few. I'm a huge fan of photography and love to create both still and moving visuals for brands and my social channels and blog. During my adventures I have amassed an organic social following of over 40,000 people across FB, Twitter and Youtube with Instagram being my main focal point with nearly 21,000 followers and growing rapidly. I also hold a Yin Yoga qualification and National Beach Lifeguard Qualification and together with my partner, yoga teacher Philly Stokes pass on my passion and surfing skills at our Wild & Free Adventures surf and yoga camps all over the world in some of our favourite travel destinations. Surfing has always been my life, I learnt to surf age 6 and never looked back. Forever driven and motivated by the ocean to find new and challenging ways to ride waves. From high performance short boards, longboards, twin keel fishes to down wind hydro foiling open ocean swells. I love to ride everything, constantly searching for that feeling of glide.
