Retired Chartered Mechanical Engineer.I am a highly experienced chartered mechanical engineer formerly trained by way of technical and student apprenticeship schemes and degree qualified. Extensive experience of project leadership/management, project lifecycle management (LCM), technical engineering, innovative design, cost effective manufacturing in aerospace, MOD, defence, nuclear (13 years), pharmaceutical and commercial environments. In my career I have operated as a project manager, control account manager (CAM), engineering manager, lead engineer, design engineer and consultancy functions. I have successfully managed multidiscipline project teams up to 10 professional people in technically challenging environments. This including electronic and software engineers. Experienced in developing requirements, scope, technical specification, WBS, dependencies, assumptions (MDAL) and risk analysis/mitigation. Development of schedules using MS Project, cost controls (EVM) and resourcing. Well-developed interfacing skills with stakeholders, customers and supply chain. I have also been involved with development of bids for large complex projects.I can apply my background to many situation developed from a variety of engineering and project management situations.
