As an ACA broker I work with business owners and HR professional in firms that subsidize the employees health insurance premiums to make them affordable, but employees have to pay the full premium amount for their dependents. Often this is not affordable to the employees so dependents go uncovered. This is called the family glitch. Beginning 2023 the dependents may qualify for govt. subsidy from ACA marketplace.
