About Alan Williams

Skilled negotiations have always been my forte, whether that is persuading suppliers to deliver on my terms or encouraging staff to perform to their potential. A way with words can be so beneficial and that is why communication across the board is key. I find I am equally at ease with a warehouse operator as I am with a director, it doesn’t matter what level they are at, as long as they can deliver, then it’s all good.Another strength of mine is understanding numbers and being able to analyse financial data. It is in doing this that I have been able to uncover savings of thousands just by tweaking the way a process is carried out. And the satisfaction from that is immense. I’m not saying it comes easy. I am hard working and consistent with a fair approach that seems to work.Having spent almost 25 years in the grocery sector working for a lot of the major supermarkets including Co-op and Waitrose, I am well versed in what retail has to offer and what I can offer the retail industry. Additionally, I am able to pick up new skills and adapt to ever-changing circumstances quickly and easily, turning my hand to pretty much anything that is thrown at me, be that streamlining operations or seeing the bigger picture.

Listed skills include Management, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Logistics, and 43 others.
