Hands-on leadership & managerial role reporting to the Head of Professional Services overseeing the technical consulting arm of the Ascender Pay platform, working closely with internal stakeholders to manage client relationship and ensure that service requests are adequately resourced and carried out.I am supported by the Asia team located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and ANZ team spreading across the various cities in Australia. On a day to day, other than the technical consultants, I also work closely with the business consulting team, project mangers, account managers and the PMO to keep the Ascender Pay Professional Services team running like an well-oiled machine.The aspects that I enjoy most about this role is the diversity of work and the opportunities to make a positive impact on someone's life with the decisions that I make. I perform a myriad of tasks such as work effort estimation, directing resources, implementation support, analysis / scoping of consulting requests, client engagement, coaching & mentoring, investigating & resolving client disputes, taking part in projects, hands on programming, process/procedure management, motivating staffs, solution engineering etc etc....my days are dynamic and never boring with me giving my best to every tasks I come across. Multi-tasking ability is a must while constantly learning and application of what I learn at the same time. Essentially, this role is fully autonomous and to be successful in this role, it requires a good measure/mix of self-discipline, self-motivation, resilience, selflessness, technical knowledge, customer facing, communications, R&D, interpersonal and work organisation/prioritisation skills.

Highly autonomously role providing timely and accurate business and technical consulting services to Ascender clients on Ascender Pay HRIS Payroll System functionality.In this role, I work closely with clients and project managers to ensure that service delivery are in line with quality and schedule expectations. Depending on the scale of the projects (large implementation, smaller scale version upgrade or standalone), I work in team or alone on tasks such as requirement gathering, business and technical solution design, system configuration, testing, training delivery, work estimation and technical customisation.Due to my high self-expectation, professionalism, honest dealing and excellent interpersonal skill, I am recognised by client and account managers as value add and became the preferred consultant for a number of clients in the first year of joining the Professional Services team.

Core member of the Development Team responsible for the design and enhancement of the Alesco HRIS Payroll System leading effort in the research, solution exploration and design for system enhancements.During this period, I was also acting Development Team Lead / Release Manager for about 10 months and then Technical Support Team Lead for about a year.My key achievements includes:- Delivery of the mobile payroll project. Involves learning the Agile methodolgy and simultaneously applying it on the project. Facilitated requirements and planning workshops employing methods such as planning poker and MoSCoW. Played key role in planning of timeboxes.- Led effort in the engineering and development of the Web Self Service Dasboard project.- Led effort in the research, prototyping, architecture, development and delivery of the Encryption at Rest module.

Provide in-house management and support of various critical applications including the Alesco HRIS Payroll System, Radical Logic Incident Management System, Hospital Sterilisation System and Clinical Patient Administration Software. Also manages application upgrade and information requirements.
