Jumpstart Foundry portfolio company. VidaEats is a platform designed to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals with Chronic Kidney Disease. This is accomplished through 1-on-1 sessions with renal dietitians and custom, evidenced based recommendations based on lab results and various clinical data points.The idea for VidaEats was born during my time working with end stage renal disease patients on dialysis. We saw a need for the system to intervene before patients ended up in the dialysis chair. Diet intervention is crucial to managing chronic kidney disease; VidaEats’ goal is to make it more accessible to patients and spread awareness.

-Engaged with nephrologists, renal dietitians, nephrology group practices, and dialysis organizations to create product awareness in territory which included Tampa, Jacksonville, Orlando, Spring Hill, Gainesville, and Naples-Detailed over 50 target nephrologists through lunch and learns and cold calls including no-see organizations such as Mayo Clinic and UF Shands-Mastered clinical data, disease state knowledge, competitive product landscape, and market access information to drive relevant messaging with decision-makers and influencers-Collaborated with Inside Sales Representatives, Clinical Sales Consultants and Area Business Directors across the Sales organization as well as personnel from Market Access, Patient & Hub Services, Medical Affairs, and Marketing to facilitate best practices and idea exchanges to drive sales and patient advocacy objectives-Analyzed data and key performance metrics to identify business opportunities and create a territory business plan-Worked with various applications to achieve goals including CRM Veeva, Salesforce, Zoom, Microsoft Suite, and others-Completed pharmaceutical sales training-Top 25% in country for volume of healthcare providers reached during initial campaign-Executed field sales activities within specified budget*Ardelyx received a Complete Response Letter from the FDA and 1/3 of the company was displaced

-Co-lead nutrition services for 11 facilities and develop dietitian team culture by organizing meetings and providing guidance which has resulted in improved dietitian and administration performance satisfaction -Built relationships with physicians, clients, and team to provide comprehensive care for 150+ patients -Managed mineral bone disorder medications and oral nutrition supplementation through protocol dose adjustment tools and patient education in order to prevent adverse patient events and increase opportunity for transplant -Communicated with pharmacies and insurance companies to process prior authorizations and patient assistance to ensure patients have access to all appropriate medications for anemia and mineral bone disorder management -Improved fluid metrics by 30.8% in 6 months by tracking laboratory values and weight trends using internal database tools to assign improvement goals to team members and provide research-based patient education -Authored a research paper regarding the benefits and contraindications of cholecalciferol supplementation in hemodialysis patients to explore the need for a new protocol-Trained new hire dietitians-Presented training programs to on-boarding Registered Nurses and Patient Technicians-Provided education to the community as a Kidney Smart educator

-Provided clinical expertise related to the care and treatment of patients with End Stage Renal Disease, including but not limited to, hyperphosphatemia issues related to patients undergoing dialysis-Presented to groups of medical professionals throughout the United States on the topic of hyperphosphatemia in dialysis patients

*Full Scope Nutrition is a private practice specializing in Chronic Kidney Disease and Geriatrics as well as a consulting service for Skilled Nursing Facilities-Secured contracts with area vendors that provide nutritional services to skilled nursing facilities-Provided dietitian services to clients in compliance with CMS regulations-Developed and presented trainings for dietitians including trainings on chronic kidney disease and wound care nutrition

-Managed nutritional care program for three, 120 bed, rehabilitation and long term care facilities-Completed comprehensive nutrition assessments, including MDS and care plans-Directed nutritional care of residents in accordance with current federal and state regulations-Educated residents on proper nutrition during their stay and post discharge, including residents requiring dialysis treatment, enteral/parenteral nutrition, and those with pressure ulcers-Provided guidance to Food Services Director regarding food service operations
