I am extremely grateful to have explored my love for animal welfare, conservation, and community engagement while earning my Masters in Biology through Project Dragonfly with Miami University and previously through my undergraduate journey, graduating with a Biology, BS with a minor in Environmental Track Applied Ethics from Arizona State University. Here's to a future where we persistently advocate for the preservation of wildlife by safeguarding the beauty and balance of our natural world.

Management Team
At The Furshire, we board dogs and cats for extended stays and provide safe and fun daycare daily. In my position as a facility manager, I oversaw staff while assisting in feeding, cleaning, and caring for our four-legged guests as well as handling client questions and relaying information about our facility. I assist in making sure each stay is as stress-free, safe, and happy for animals, pet parents, and staff. We specialized in socializing pets with all kinds of different behavioral backgrounds and needs to find the best fit for the course of their stay whether it would be with the high-energy playgroup, calm playgroup, one-on-one with staff, ect. We prided ourselves on never turning down a furry friend based on special needs, breed, or behaviors as we were trained to be able to care for animals in all situations.
Wildlife Medicine Intern
In this position, I was hands-on learning about wildlife medical practices by caring for injured, sick, and/or orphaned Arizona wildlife. I practiced examination procedures, laboratory techniques, proper pharmaceutical use, and anatomical knowledge. I also help with daily routine medications, cleaning, and observing any behaviors or changes in patients in the clinic. We saw a large number of AZ native mammals such as (but not limited to) coyotes, bobcats, skunks, raccoons, javelina, and foxes with the occasional large mammal such as bears and mountain lions. I can confidently say that this position has largely strengthened my knowledge and passion for wildlife conservation while sharpening my skills in situations under-pressure.
Animal Care Intern
Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center is home to many sanctuary wildlife residents who were determined non-releasable and injured/orphaned wildlife who are staying for rehabilitation to soon be released back to the wild. During my time as an Animal Care Intern, I was taught by and assisted Animal Care Specialists on how to prepare diets, safe distribution/cleaning enclosures, animal behaviors, safe/humane rescue tactics, recognizing strange behaviors, and conservation importance. I spent 4 months there assisting in taking care of resident Black Bears, Mountain Lions, Bobcats, Coyotes, Foxes, Raccoons, Javelina, Mexican Gray Wolves, Coatimundi, Deer, and any other animal in need that came our way.
