I was born and raised in Queens, New York, and have frequented all over the city practically every weekend since I could walk. My grandfather, who graduated from City College in the 50s as a civil engineer and would spend his career working on huge projects and answering only to the commissioner, would describe the fascination behind various structures, bridges, and road layouts. He always reminded me of the importance engineering served to the public. Now, attending City College myself, I hope to contribute to the engineering field that my grandfather spoke so highly of, and the community of New York City that raised me. I studied civil engineering at City College for two years before switching my major to Ad/PR, where I hope to use my skills within the engineering industry.I am a huge lover of culture and diversity. Growing up in Queens, I have been fortunate enough to experience an assortment of backgrounds in foods, celebrations, and friendships. I am a strong believer in engineering’s contributions to these connections, serving as a literal and figurative bridge between people. This message is what drives my ambitions in communications and public relations, and I grow excited at the thought of collaborating my grandfather’s lessons with my career.
