About Alana Jeralds

Content marketing is my calling.I always dreamed of being a writer –– A novelist, a journalist, a columnist, a poet; really anything that allowed me to write freely and creatively. I found myself in editorial, a seemingly natural fit, but I felt my imagination dimming in the soft light of my HP, fixing mistakes and rewriting the words of others, but not mine. From across the line of cubicles, I caught a glimpse of the marketing department. There was seemingly an ember glowing brighter by the day, the creativity alive and burning. I knew instantly that the energy matched my own, and the feeling that I could turn that ember into flames with my innovation, leadership, and tenacious mindset grew stronger by the day. Within a matter of months, I found myself a Product Marketing Manager, altering print collateral into dreamlike stories, writing video scripts that bear our brand's soul, developing social campaigns that drive engagement, and writing blogs that directly serve our audience. Some days I come to work knowing exactly what is set out for me, my planner depicting my every move. But many days, the planner gets tossed aside, abandoned for an immediate need and rapid action. I live for the change, the multitasking, the thinking on my feet; and I'm good at it. I love being creative and I love seeing my ideas take shape as they form into stunning web pages, digital samplers, blog posts, promotional videos, email campaigns, and social and web graphics. But maybe most of all, I love using my creativity to effectively solve problems or to make an experience even better. I love using data to really create change, to really cause effect, and to watch engagement levels rise. That feeling of creating positive change is truly powerful. Some of my skills include project and people management, prioritizing and multi-tasking, learning rapidly, problem-solving, SEO, thinking of new, innovative ideas, storytelling (both written and visual), always bringing a positive outlook and mindset, working independently, and showing up each day as a goal-oriented, driven team player.
