Tax liaison between the RSM US tax line of business and tax leadership within Alliance firms in the Southeast and Northeast regions. In this role, I work closely with the member firms’ tax leadership and RSM US LLP's tax leadership to ensure tax professionals are optimally positioned to consistently deliver superior client service in the marketplace by building relationships. I help create and sustain an engaged, interactive community of high performing CPA firms through practice and risk management assistance, technical training, and various other specialty tax services. In addition to my role in tax services, I have responsibility in various areas of practice management, including but not limited to: facilitating round tables, webinars, orientations, public speaking, and working as part of a team to produce surveys on financial statistics and partner agreements, retirement, and succession.

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a 107 person accounting firm. Serve as the Chief Financial Officer of the firm responsible for managing profitability, cash flow, budgeting and providing relevant financial data to the Board, managing partner and the departmental partners in charge. Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the firm’s monthly financials and tax returns. Directly responsible for supervising and managing the Administrative, Accounting, Facilities, Human Resources and Technology functions of the firm to insure we have appropriate policies and procedures to minimize risk and to maximize effectiveness. Maintain and cultivate quality relationships with the firm’s vendors, including bankers, insurance agents and legal counsel. Responsible for maintaining appropriate lines of credit, maintaining appropriate levels of insurance and keeping policies and procedures up to date and in compliance with federal and state law.Collaborates with partners to develop a strategic plan and vision for the firm.

Responsible for the management of all aspects of tax compliance engagements. Directed and monitored engagements and maintained active communication with clients. Participated as a member of the client service team interacting with auditors and tax consultants. Responsible for data gathering, tax analysis, identifying issues and ensuring the accuracy of the return. Responsible for counseling and mentoring individuals through the review process of the firm.
