Jag jobbade som projektledare främst med skolor i ny- och ombyggnadsprojekt. Jag har också jobbat med kontor och även en dagvattenpark. Jag drev projekt i olika skeden från utredning, projektering, till byggledning under produktion och inflyttning. Representerar beställarna på olika mötes forum och leder alla aktörer i projekt mot ett bestämt mål. Utformning av förfrågningsunderlag, hantering och reglering av ÄTA arbete, ansvarar för ekonomi, tidplaner och kvalitetsuppföljning.Kunder från offentliga sektor såsom SISAB, Botkyrka kommun och Upplands-Bro Kommun, med projektbudgetar upp till 280mn kronor. Jobbade med både Utförande och Total-entreprenadform. Allt arbete utfördes på det svenska språket.Project management in the properties team at AFRY (ÅF-Pöyry) with a focus on schools, both new and refurbishments. Also managed the design of a large rainwater attenuation project and an office made of modular construction. Management through all stages from project initiation to design and construction; working closely with clients, designers and builders.

Jinga, Uganda

Project Management with an NGO who provide Clean Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Information (WASH) to communities in Uganda.-Planned all activities and ensured WASH projects were delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard. Over 200 projects delivered reaching over 100,000 people in rural Uganda.-Managed a team of 18 permanent staff and 12 contracted staff. Supervised all field and office based activities. -Controlled all expenses, negotiated payments, kept accountability.-Tested drinking waters physical and microbiological properties.-Initiated soap making and menstrual hygiene management programmes.-Prepared funding proposals and reported to Donors regularly including statistical analysis of progress.-Represented the Board of Trustees and Donors in Uganda. Eastern Regional representative of UWASNET (Uganda Water and Sanitation NGO Network) at workshops and think tanks.-Partnered with Government bodies, Universities, and other NGO’s.-Improved practices and policies through research and networking.-Transformed the charities’ Guest House to a profit-making enterprise.

Rajasthan, India

Investigated the effectiveness of small dams ('Anicuts') to alleviate water scarcity by groundwater recharge. Case Study: Udaipur, India.Qualitative and Quantitative data collection through focus group discussions, group interviews and household interviews in India. Well recharge, irrigation rates, crop production, flooding, soil erosion, soil moisture, management and maintenance practices and the role of the community were all investigated. The dams achieved all of their goals but their impact was limited by the amount of land available for agriculture and the absence of a functioning management structure in the study area. It was recommended that a watershed committee be assigned to take a systems approach to all matters concerning the watershed, including the maintenance of the anicuts.

Undertook 3 research projects relating to drinking water standards enforcement.1. Regulation of On-Site Wastewater Treatment Systems (OSWTS): The Department of Environment, Community and Local Government (DoECLG) was preparing new legislation to address a European Court of Justice judgement that Ireland had failed to fulfil its obligations in relation to OSWTS under the European Waste Directive. I prepared a review of International best practice on the maintenance and inspection of OSWTS to reduce the risk of water pollution. It focused on the four general topics of legislation, management, education and funding and provided a synopsis of common practices and recommendations and was used by the ‘Septic Tank Task Force’ to draft new legislation.2. Lead Pipe replacement: The parametric value for lead in drinking water in Europe was scheduled to be reduced from 25µg/l to 10µg/l in 2013. The old lead pipe distribution system in Ireland is gradually being replaced. I analysed the Irish test results for lead levels before and after pipe replacement. There was a short-term increase in lead in drinking water following the replacement of lead distribution pipes. This effect will be considered in the formation of future lead pipe replacement strategies.3. Maintaining Water Storage Reservoirs: Review of books, papers and international standards, investigation of practices in other countries and interviews with several contractors involved in reservoir maintenance. The research was undertaken in order to issue a guidance note which would set the standards that Water Services Authorities (WSAs) would be expected to comply with.
