I was trained to provide direct care to adults with mental and physical disabilities. As a senior program associate, I provide tools and encouragement to assist disabled adults in completing day to day tasks. I promoted overall well being by assisting in routines and maintaining schedules. • Provides supervision, guidance, instruction, and/or skill building to assigned persons served within a specific Program site regarding daily living activities, safety, vocational activities, and interaction with others. •Provides supervision to direct care staff and is in charge of Program site activities in absence of Program Manager. •Carry out behavioral treatment plans and are responsible for collecting direct observational data. •Provide assistance with daily living activities that may include, but are not limited to, personal hygiene, social awareness, meal preparation, money management, and housekeeping. • Provides personal care and supervision, actively participating in the life growth of each individual. •Teach them daily living and functional skills to help individuals achieve personal goals and transition to less restrictive residential settings. • Responsible for accompanying individuals to healthcare appointments and community outings and providing safe transportation.
