My position acts primarily as a liaison of capital projects between Power Packaging and General Mills. Projects consist of design to build, equipment upgrades, installation, safety enhancements, retrofit, debugging, production optimization, and cost savings initiatives. In addition to these operational programs, I am also responsible for overseeing plant construction projects; e.g. roofing, paving, racking installation, electrical upgrades, etc.

This effort included the design of tooling, testing & evaluation of pilot production, and delivering manufacturing criteria for customer product specifications.Developed an improvement to an existing manufacturing technology in 2003, which not only improved efficiency, but also generated annual savings of more than 4MM.Asked to lead a corrective action team (CAT) in 2002, whose goal was to deliver standardization across the entire U.S. division. Through this effort the company was able to recapture 2.5MM, annually.Used six sigma quality techniques to measure and quantify the effects of engineering changes (e.g. DoE, ANOVA, scatter diagrams, linear regression). Through proper analysis, was able to make recommendations based on modeled confidence intervals.
