I pursued a career in sales because I love working with people and facing different obstacles every day. Having over 20 years of experience in furniture sales with 15+ as a territory manager for one of the largest manufacturers in the industry I've enjoyed building partnerships with accounts both large and small. One of the most exciting aspects of being in sales is having to play so many different roles and dealing with the challenges that this brings. I have experience working with CEOs and buyers from some of the largest companies in the country all the way down to solo entrepreneurs. I have worked with marketing directors on creative advertising ideas and also individuals on simple Facebook posts. I have planned and executed adaptive training sessions on product knowledge and sales strategies for over 100 people all the way down to just a handful at a time. Being successful in sales comes down to being knowledgeable, organized, motivated, and adaptable. However possessing these skills alone is not enough. Having the ability to build and foster relationships is key to standing out above the competition.
