Alan is a highly regarded engineering professional with more than 15 years’ experience in the design and delivery of major transport infrastructure including significant roles in leading projects such as Canberra’s Light Rail and Constitution Avenue. Alan has held design and design management roles in projects locally in the ACT and NSW. Alan is a Fellow member of the Institute of Engineers Australia and holds chartered status. Since starting his career as a graduate in 2006, Alan has not only developed into a successful Design Manager, specialising in both civil road design and project management. Alan is actively engaged in the ACT Civil and Structural committee with Engineers Australia and supports the developing future engineers at ADFA through the UNSW program.Alan’s experience covers the full range of design phase delivery, from corridor and feasibility studies to detailed design and construction phase design support. Alan has a detailed design background in pavement design which cements his Design Management capability across all design disciplines in road, rail and active travel infrastructure projects.  Alan has worked in design management positions for a number of notable projects particularly the Canberra Light Rail including as Civil Design Lead for delivery of the Canberra Light Rail Stage 1 project. Alan played a key design manager role during the project delivery phase, including detailed design, construction and the testing and commissioning phase. Alan was a key member of the design team on the Canberra Light Rail Stage 2A ECI as the Civil Design Lead. In this coordination role, he interfaced directly with the design team, leadership team, the client and key stakeholders.
