I help organizations manage stress at work and minimize risks to mental wellbeing through training and consultancy services. Through my career, I've developed tools and frameworks for individuals, managers and organizations do this effectively. Managers have a key role in managing stress and wellbeing risks and many of my clients have used my training, including HSE, DWP, BAE Systems and easyJet.Two of my most important developments are:1. Stressful Situations Profiling and Planning Tools (SSPPT), which enable profiling of stressful situations and the development of plans to minimise risks, and;2. APMR Framework (Awareness, Prevention, Monitoring, Responding), which is a stress management best practice framwork typically used for benchmarking and policy development related to managing stress and workplace mental health, and for training and developing managers.I have given these tools Creative Commons licensing so they are free to access, use and adapt. I do ask that those using the tools such as managers or employees receive appropriate training. My clients use my in-house training for this. Public and online training to use the tools is under development.The tools have multiple applications including: stress management, stress risk assessments for individuals or teams, managing return from stress-related absence and poor performance, personal and profession development, coaching and counselling. They are also very helpful in change management scenarios to help employees manage worries and concerns.They can be used by managers, individuals, Occupational Health practitioners, coaches and therapists.
