People claim that I am "crazy" and the things I choose to do are "impossible to achieve". My record of achievement, despite living with a transient disability, speaks for itself.I founded TANRC, a voluntary self-regulator focused on bringing participants together in a standards-enforced community that restores trust and commitment. Governed by a elected Board of Governors at the system, national, and state levels, the community self-governance model is a powerful one. Through the system, the community is better able to identify those who are trustworthy and ensure that those who violate the trust and accountability necessary for effective market function face the appropriate consequences for their actions.I am very experienced with technology, working on computer systems since I was a young boy. I am the creator of several enterprise computer systems. I developed the original EPCAS, which maintained student records for Enrichment Programs at UConn in one central database. I have used my skills and experience in software development to create innovative solutions to regulatory and other business requirements that others have deemed technically infeasible.I believe in second chances and am community focused. In support of that, I am skilled at management and turnaround efforts, management of large conferences, and non-profit leadership. I enjoy connecting people together, and have received awards through my leadership work. I was a 2008 winner of the UConn Student Life Awards: Peer Educator of the Year for my work in mentoring fellow undergraduates, and was appointed as one of the Co-Chairs for the Connecticut Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity, and Opportunity.I continue to specialize in information security, technology architecture, financial strategy for businesses, and regulatory innovation, and my research interests are in increasing opportunities for innovation to underserved marketplaces through improving existing systems and regulations.
