Responsible for building the retort/low-acid and hot fill contract manufacturing business as part of a rapid strategic growth plan, taking the business, focused mostly on private label products, and transforming it into a world class contract manufacturer of food and beverage products for global CPG organizations. Provided commercial leadership to cross-functional teams balancing customer and company requirements. Through consultative selling techniques, identified gaps that provided additional value to the customer, leading to increased sales, and deepening value-added relationships. Worked collaboratively with R&D, Engineering, Procurement, Packaging, Operations, customer cross-functional project teams and external ingredient, packaging and equipment vendors. Streamlined customer base and manufacturing strategy to reduce waste, maximize profitability and reduce operational complexity. • Delivered 100% YOY growth and significant EBITDA improvements through pricing strategies.• Delivered a 400% volume increase under a new multi-year contract with one customer resulting in an annual revenue increase of $40MM.• Drove business development in support of a $200MM expansion, transforming the existing platform from 80k sq. ft. to more than 300k sq. ft delivering sold out facility in long-term contracted revenues in less than 2 years.• Negotiated and implemented multi-year long-term requirements contracts for customers valued at over $300MM.• Implemented an enhanced commercialization process for cross-functional team alignment while driving products through phases (concept, pilot development, plant trial) to enable consistent success to customer first production.
