Alan Douglas has over 20 years of operational and financial management experience in healthcare. As of November 2020, he is the Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management with Innovative Renal Care and recently acquired American Renal Associates. From June 2015 until October 2020, he was with LifePoint Health. He served the company as the Regional Vice President for the Central Division, and prior to that was the Group Senior Director for the Eastern Group. His responsibilities included day to day operations of employed physician practices and assisted in the acquisition and integration of new practices for the company. From Sep 2013 to May 2015, he served as the Chief Revenue Officer for Cogent HMG and transitioned the company to Sound Physicians as part of the Nov 2014 acquisition. His area of responsibilities include Revenue Cycle, Managed Care, Physician Credentialing and Provider Enrollment. From Jul 2008 until Dec 2012, he was Vice President of Revenue Cycle for the consolidated revenue cycle functions for Renal Advantage Inc (acquired by Liberty Dialysis in December 2010 and Fresenius Medical Care in Feb 2012). From Aug 2006 to Jul 2008, Mr. Douglas served as Vice President of Revenue Cycle Operations and Controls in the Surgery Center Division for HealthSouth and continued in that position through the divestiture in Jul 2007 from owners HealthSouth to TPG with the entity now known as Surgical Care Affiliates.From Mar 2005 until his transition into the Surgery Division, he served with HealthSouth as Director of Internal Controls - Revenue Cycle. He was part of the post-fraud leadership team with HealthSouth where he worked on the implementation & remediation of SOX revenue controls.From Aug 2001 to Mar 2005, Mr. Douglas served in a management role with HCA, Inc. in Internal Audit specializing in Revenue Cycle, IT, Surgery Center and PPM audits. From 1993 to 2000, he served in various operational and financial management roles with the occupational medicine and urgent care practices of Baptist Hospital/TCMC Affiliates, Nashville, TN.Alan has an MBA from Belmont University and a BS in Chemistry from Tennessee Technological University. He is an inactive Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and an inactive Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
