I am an entrepreneur at heart, having owned several businesses from a young age, and I’ve always had a passion for design and architecture.In 2009, I founded Nex—, a London based design studio with an international profile. My vision for our work at Nex is to connect people to place in a meaningful way by focusing on context, people’s experience and atmosphere. I lead the overall design direction to ensure that the studio's focus and innovation is aligned to client aims and stakeholder aspirations.Nex specialises in mixed-use projects, often within complex urban and heritage contexts, and our approach intimately connects architecture to the city, creating long-term adaptability, and enhancing the public realm to create extra value for our clients and local communities. Our diverse portfolio includes culture, leisure, workplace, education, transport and residential buildings, and our record of securing challenging consents and approvals is exemplary.For our eleventh anniversary Nex— celebrated some amazing achievements. Most noteworthy, is winning our most significant work through highly competitive design competitions. My team and I have won 12 in 11 years, which has allowed us to work on landmark buildings and public spaces. A selection of our current and recent clients include Ballymore, British Land, Cadogan Estate, the Royal Airforce Museum, LSE, Mercedes F1 team, U+I, and the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford. Aside from my business and design capabilities, my strengths lie in my ability to focus on a clear vision, and communicate that to my team and a wide range of stakeholders through strong, ambitious leadership and a meticulous attention to detail. Our projects have been widely recognised with awards and I have been invited to speak about the studios work internationally, most notably at the RIBA, RIAI, ETH in Zurich, Central Academy of Fine Art in Beijing, MIT and the NAI in Rotterdam. I am a regular speaker and invited juror at the AA, UCL, and universities across Europe. I am always open to opportunities to meet new collaborators and talented peers so reach out and say hello.
