What’s the greatest invention in the ongoing history of humankind? Well, it’s not the microwave. It’s the city.With a thorough approach to any project that I undertake, my unique portfolio of work exhibits a capacity to think broadly and engage the scales of architecture, urban design, city planning, interiors and graphics. Since my earlier work on the award-winning Kaohsiung waterfront design competition, I’ve been responsible for leading and delivering on a wide range of complex projects throughout China, the United States while also building expertise in various building typologies locally. Major projects include delivering a state-of-the-art level 2 nanotechnology lab shoehorned into a cranky heritage structure, speculating on feasibility studies for OCAD University and the University of Toronto, collaborating on the Lawrence Heights revitalization plan, and co-authoring various urban design guidelines and streetscape master plans for institutions and municipalities in Brantford, Vaughan and Markham. Private residential projects, seasonal residences and development feasibility studies surrounding the Greater Toronto area are also part of my commitment to design locally.Outside work hours, you might find me running Toronto’s streets and parks in an attempt to better my 1:39 half-marathon time.
